ST MARY’S Church at Bolsterstone, Sheffield, holds a Flower Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend, themed around celebration.

The event, from August 25 to 28, is called Let’s Celebrate. Each floral arrangement will take a different celebratory theme to tie in with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the summer of Olympics.

Events will include a ringing of the tower bells on Saturday, August 25, from 9.30am to 10am, and a performance by St Mary’s handbell ringers on Sunday, August 26, from 2pm to 3pm.

Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, featuring soloist Jane Hobson, will perform on the Sunday at 7.30pm.

Refreshments will be available in the village hall throughout the festival, which will be open from 10am to 8pm on the Saturday, 12.15pm to 6pm on the Sunday, 10am to 8pm on the Monday, and 10am to 4pm on the Tuesday.
