The VILLAGE library in Misterton, near Doncaster, is cutting its opening hours because of council cutbacks.
But the threat of closure has been lifted and the library is expected to move into new premises in the Old School later this Spring.
Misterton library is one of 28 in Nottinghamshire to be designated a Community Partnership Library with local volunteers and groups invited to help run it.
That could be through fundraising for new books or volunteering to help extend the opening hours.
Anyone interested in setting up a library support group is advised to let the library staff know.
Revised opening hours at Misterton are: Tuesday from 2.40pm to 6pm; Thursday 2.30pm to 5pm; and Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm.
