There’s a sweet treat in store for visitors to a South Yorkshire town over the Easter weekend.

Chickychocolicious – a day of free events – will be taking place in Rotherham Town Centre on Saturday, March 30, between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

There will be craft and chocolate workshops, where people can decorate cupcakes, make an Easter card or a spring daffodil, and fill it with delicious treats.

Craft-making sessions, face painting and an Easter treasure hunt are also being laid on around the town centre.

Visitors can enjoy fairground rides and meet the Easter Bunny and his friend Easter Chick, who will be making guest appearances with baskets of treats.

Meanwhile, a treasure hunt with a twist will be taking place during the Easter holiday at Wentworth Castle, Barnsley - instead of ancient maps, explorers will be using GPS devices to find the hidden haul.

Not-for-profit sports provider Team Activ has organised two days of geocaching at Wentworth Castle, on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, from 10am to 3pm.Tickets are £4 for adults, £2 for children, or £10 for a family.
