Doncaster actress Sheridan Smith could be storming up the charts at the weekend with her rendition of a Cilla Black classic.
The 33-year-old, who started out at Doncaster Little Theatre as a child, has been in the download chart this week with her version of Anyone Who Had a Heart.
It was released after the actress sang the songs during her portrayal of Cilla Black in the ITV drama Cilla.
Sheridan’s mum Marilyn, who lives in Epworth, near Doncaster, said: “She has been overwhelmed with the response that she’s got.
“She’s always been a singer, has always enjoyed it, but has been surprised at the reaction after being asked to play Cilla. People who enjoyed listening to her singing on the show must be downloading it.”
