RAISING money for good causes is a piece of cake for a band of Sheffield domestic goddesses.

Members of the Seven Hills Women’s Institute used their skills in the kitchen to set up a homemade goodies stall at the Sheffield Food Festival.

The sale of delicious cakes and raffles over two days raised £716 for Haven House, which provides temporary supported accommodation for women and children in Sheffield who find themselves homeless due to domestic abuse.

A further donation from a Pampered Chef food demonstration evening the group held earlier in the year brought the total to £795.77.
