SHEFFIELD Industrial Museums Trust has received £118,750 in the latest round of funding awarded by the Arts Council.

The money will be used to fund disabled access improvements at Kelham Island Museum, Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet and Shepherd Wheel.

The trust’s Access All Areas project will invest in physical, sensory and online interventions to ‘develop an organisational culture that understands people’s needs and actively welcomes and supports visitors with disabilities’.

Latest Arts Council funding given out across Yorkshire has totalled £2,574,093.
