A TOURING exhibition by the British Arts Council is set for a stay in Barnsley from January 31.
The British Crafts Council Added Values exhibition questions the worth of contemporary craft within the current landscape of branding and luxury.
The show will consider six key strands, each characterised by the work of a highly skilled maker.
Categories include Material by Zoe Arnold, Traditional by Oliver Ruuger, Brands by Simon Hasan, the Bespoke by shoe makers Carreducker, Experience by jelly mongers Bompas and Parr, and the Everyday by Tracy Kendall.
It will feature at the gallery@The Civic in Hanson Street until March 24.
A spokesman said: “The exhibition investigates perceptions of value and the increasing interest in provenance and production narratives.”
