Club stalwarts are honoured

CLUBLAND stalwarts across Doncaster have been honoured by the governing body for clubs in England for their hard work and dedication.

The Club and Institute Union has decorated several of its South Yorkshire members for their commitment to their local working men’s clubs during 2012 and over the years.

John Bellamy, of Barnby Dun Social Club, has been presented with the CIU Distinguished Service Award and coupled it with the presentation of a Long Service Award.

Joining him on the roll of honour is Jeffrey Bourke, of Carcroft Village Club, who picked up a certificate of merit, while David Fallon of Monk Bretton WMC, Barnsley picked up the same prize.
