A FESTIVE film will be shown in surroundings tailored to suit adults with learning disabilities.

Support provider Dimensions has teamed up with Sheffield city centre’s Odeon cinema to organise a special screening of Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger, which takes place on Sunday at 11.30am.

The event has been organised as a Christmas treat for adults with autism and learning disabilities who attend the organisation’s monthly sensory-friendly screenings.

Lights are left on low, sound is turned down, trailers are omitted and people can bring their own food, make noise and move around the cinema as they feel comfortable.

Advance tickets are available from the Odeon’s helpline on 0800 138 3315.
