sheffield Philharmonic Chorus is planning workshops for men interested in singing with the group but who feel they would benefit from extra support.

The free sessions will be delivered by a professional music teacher and will be aimed at preparing men for auditions for the group.

They will be held at King Edward VII Upper School, Broomhill, starting on Tuesday, April 16, and will run for six weeks.

Paul Maddox, recruitment officer for the Chorus, said: “This is the second series of men’s workshops to be run this year and we very much hope it will be as successful as the first.

“If you’ve ever thought about singing in a choir but needed that little extra encouragement, this is an opportunity not to be missed.”
