Children’s 3D blooms on show

VISITORS to Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens can see a brightly-coloured display of 3D flowers made by schoolchildren from Monday.

The Bigger Bloom exhibition opens with a free public launch event from 5pm to 7pm, with a guided walk and summer refreshments on offer.

More than 300 Sheffield schoolchildren created the flowers during workshops run by the Art In The Park group, using materials such as wire, paint, plastic bottles and glitter.

Another flower-making workshop is happening at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday, July 14, from 11am to 3pm.
