A LIBRARY will be winding back the clock to the days of glitter platform shoes and glam rock.

Sheffield author Neil Anderson, who has penned a trilogy of books on the 1970s, will give a talk about the decade at Chapeltown Library on Thursday, November 1.

Neil will speak about an era when the city boasted the biggest nightclub in Europe and its retail sector was viewed as one of the best outside of London.

The event will also have a screening of the 1971 promotional film, City On The Move, which appeared in Hollywood hit The Full Monty.

Neil said: “The appetite for 1970s Sheffield never ceases to amaze me.”

n Admission is free and the talk begins at 1pm. To book a place, call 0114 203 7000.
