SINGERS from a South Yorkshire amateur choir are celebrating their first year together with an evening of entertainment in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

BeVox choir will be performing numbers by artists from Abba and the Beach Boys to the Beatles and Glee.

They have also invited other local performing arts groups – South Side Jazz, Sheffield Harmony Chorus, Nycha Dance Creations, classical soprano Sheila Rothman, folk guitarist Ian Price, salsa dancers and a magician – to join them.

A Real Variety Performance, is on Thursday, July 21, at Victoria Hall Methodist Church, Norfolk Street, Sheffield city centre.

Tickets priced £5 are available only on the door, to reduce admin costs and ensure a maximum donation to charity.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

The last year has seen BeVox stage nearly 30 performances, including flash mobs in train stations and shopping centres.

On Saturday, July 16, the choir performs two concerts at Magna in Rotherham. Tickets priced £12.50 and £10. Go to to book.
