Soprano Elizabeth Ball hit all the right notes when she raised £660 for South Yorkshire dementia charity Lost Chord.

The Barnsley professional singer works with the charity to provide musical experiences for people with dementia in care homes and day centres.

And knowing from personal experience just how important the work of Lost Chord is, she organised an evening of music at the Church of St John the Baptist in Royston, Barnsley.

“It was a truly memorable evening,” said Helen Muller, chief executive of the charity which is celebrating its 15th year.
