IT’S time to grab a partner and don your dancing shoes for a night of old-fashioned fun.

Sheffield’s Grenoside Community Centre is hosting a barn dance to raise cash for the renovation of the listed Reading Room on Saturday September 29. Villagers are hoping to get enough cash together to restore the 18th century building to its former glory.

The B Team will lead the dance-a-long before special guest performers on the night are the city’s Six Jolly Miners sword-dancing team entertain the crowds. The event will also feature Northumbrian Pipers and Clog Dancers.

Tickets cost £10 and entry is free for children under 12. Doors open at 7.30pm on the night. For more information call Allan Hooper on 0114 246 3692.
