A group of Sheffield musicians delighted residents at the Brunswick Gardens Retirement Village with a selection of music and carols at their annual Christmas concert.

The performance by the Sheffield 13 Brass Ensemble was led by their musical director Norman Cawkwell, who founded the group over 30 years ago.

The ensemble had just returned from a goodwill visit to Sheffield’s twin German city of Bochum where they played a concert with a local band in a major shopping centre.

They also took part in an event held outside Bochum’s town hall.
