An ART club will be holding the first of its four annual art exhibitions next month to coincide with the May Day carnival.
Chesterfield Art Club will be holding the first at Ashover Parish Hall, Milken Lane, Ashover, from Saturday, May 5. The exhibition, previously held only on the Monday, will be staged over three days so people can enjoy the carnival and caravan rally.
The extended period means villagers involved in Monday’s carnival will get a chance to see the exhibition.
Organisers are expecting around 150 originals works of art, produced by 45 different artists from the art club. Most of the work will be on sale.
n The exhibition runs from Saturday, May 5, to Monday, May 7, and is open from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free and car parking is available.
