Comic actor John Challis is one of the nation's best known comic actors, much-loved as dodgy used car salesman Boycie in the hit comedy Only Fools and Horses.

More recently, John has starred in ITV’s Benidorm and in the BBC 1 remake of Are You Being Served.

His show packed with anecdotes and fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from his career.

John said he’s been doing the show for three years.

“I was asked to do a show at a small theatre in Shrewsbury, which held 250. The idea was for me to be interviewed on stage and for us to show a few clips.

“We expected there to be a reasonable audience but, in fact, we sold out. We’ve been on the road ever since. ”

What’s the show about?

“It’s about stories and fun, it’s about sharing with fans the things they won’t know from behind the scenes. There are some amazing stories – about the time The Beatles asked me to star in their Magical Mystery Tour film and I said no, about the time I was tracked down by Dr Who fans in America because I’d starred in a series alongside Tom Baker, about David Jason and Nick Lyndhurst in Only Fools and Horses and about my time on the cobbles in Coronation Street.”
