New projects at Brook

THE Friends of Charlton Brook are celebrating after being awarded two cash grants.

Charlton Brookm between High Green, Burncross, and Chapeltown, consists of a brook set in a valley and a fishable dam.

Two grants of 500 each - from the Co-operative Membership Community Fund and from Morrisons - will go towards creating a wildlife bog garden for local schoolchildren and organising litter pickers.
