New centre is opened
A NEW children's centre offering childcare, family support and health services has been officially opened.
Coun Joyce Sanders, chairman of Derbyshire County Council, performed the ceremony at Birdholme Children's Centre, Chesterfield.
Alongside the official event, there was also an open day with activities including face painting, a balloon race, circus skills, a climbing wall, crafts, a penalty shoot out and information stands.
