THE Folk Train has Treebeard as guests next Tuesday (Aug 28). Lively music is guaranteed from these Sheffield favourites. The train leaves Sheffield at 7.14pm with music during the journey and later at the Ramblers Country House Hotel, Edale.

Thursday (Aug 30) welcomes a host of up and coming talent to The Grapes, in Sheffield city centre. Performing will be artists who have performed ate gigs organised by WagonWheelMNedia over th elast nine months. They include Roger Davies, who is making a name for himself as one of today's most entertaining acoustic folk singer/songwriters, acoustic folk rocker Daughter Of Frank, aka Victoria, has been writing and singing her own songs from an early age and Dave Sleney is formally frontman of The Enquiry, who also recently performed under the name of Bronco Bailey. He has returned to his acoustic roots and mellowed out the country tinged indie pop sound of his former band just a little. Doors open 8pm and entry is 3.
