Multicultural festival is on

The Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival, which celebrates the diverse community of Burngreave, is on Sunday September 2.

This year’s event was postponed earlier in the summer because the park was waterlogged.

Now organisers hope the re-scheduled festival will attract more than the 8,000 people who turned up last year.

Now in its ninth year, the festival boasts performances by music and dance acts and DJs.

The show is from 1pm to 6pm and admission is free.
