MP views new health centre
A SHEFFIELD MP was impressed by work nearing completion on the city's newest health centre.
Meg Munn, who represents Heeley, visited the site of the 6 million community facility next to Jordanthorpe shopping centre, which is due to open in October.
It will house a GP surgery, mental health services, district nurses, optometrists, X-ray equipment, podiatry services, physiotherapy and a healthy eating cafe.
Mrs Munn said: “Primary health care should be community based, people can then access services easier and this will in turn help build confidence in health care provision.”
