Motorcyclist killed in crash

A DONCASTER motorcyclist died yesterday after he was thrown from his bike in a road accident.

The 41-year-old, who has not yet been named, was riding his Suzuki SV 1,000 along the A630 towards Armthorpe, when he was in a collision with a Nissan Almera heading towards Junction 4 of the M18.

Police said he was taken to the Doncaster Royal Infirmary but had suffered extensive injuries.

A 53-year-old woman riding a Harley Davidson Sportster, who was travelling behind, was hit by flying debris and was also knocked from her bike. She suffered a broken collarbone.

The 42-year-old driver of the Nissan - a man from Scunthorpe - and his 22-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident.
