Minister pledges Government help for victims

Gillian Merron MP met with residents of Renishaw, near Eckington, to hear first-hand of their experiences in the June downpour.

She also received updates on how the families are recovering from the devastation.

Ms Merron said: "I visited Renishaw to meet people whose homes and lives have been affected by the recent floods and to reassures them that, as a government, we are committed to doing all we can during this difficult time to help them get back on their feet."
