Metal thefts alert to firms
FIRMS and industries which use metal are being urged to step up their security after a huge hike in the number of metal thefts in the region.
The British Metals Recycling Association is running a stolen metals bulletin to alert all members of known thefts help them identify stolen materials before accepting anything from customers.
Businesses, particularly those in the construction trade, are urged to protect their metal to avoid becoming another victim.
