Massive health 'village' getting into shape

WORK is under way on a multi-million-pound 'health village' which is due to open in Chesterfield next spring.

The 7.5 million development will gather together GPs, a pharmacy, a women's and sexual health clinic, dentistry, podiatry and physiotherapy facilities.

Discussions are also under way for the Wheatbridge Road village to house social services, a health charity, and complementary therapists on the site of the former Robinsons factory. The 30,000sq ft village is expected to have a merged GPs' practice for 15,000 patients.
