Marathon row for fund
A MINER who spent 20 years working underground will return to the site of his former pit later this month - but this time he'll be staying very much on the surface.
Paul Marsden will be taking part in a sponsored row, on a machine at Bannatyne's Gym in Worksop, on the site of the former Manton Colliery.
Paul, aged 53, of Curton Drive, Worksop, who now works as a security guard, hopes to complete the distance of a marathon. Every penny he raises in sponsorship will then be handed to the appeal for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
