Lucky Lop to hold fundraiser in Sheffield to help rescue rabbits
The charity fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 24
A rabbit rescue charity in Sheffield is hosting a fundraising event this weekend.
The Lucky Lop Rabbit Rescue is an independent, non-profit rabbit rescue based in Sheffield, run by Jamie Green and his fiancée Emma Taylor.
They help unwanted, neglected and vulnerable rabbits, giving them the care they need and finding them loving new homes.
Jamie said: “We were inspired by my own rescue rabbit, Ivy, and what started as a personal passion has grown into something we're trying to build to help as many rabbits as possible.
“We rescued Ivy with her sisters from a breeder that couldn't cope, far before The Lucky Lop was in existence. Sadly, due to bad breeding practices Ivy was the only rabbit that survived out of the group and she herself became The Lucky Lop.”

They are currently working with very limited funds and are trying to raise money to cover essential veterinary costs, vaccinations and neutering, as well as working towards having better facilities to help more rabbits in need.
They are holding a fundraising day at the Cross Scythes on Derbyshire Lane with live music, food, local sellers and a raffle packed with prizes.

Prizes include a signed human League photo, two VIP hospitality tickets for Rotherham united, bar tab and a food hamper.
Every penny raised will help them continue rescuing and caring for vulnerable rabbits and hopefully get them one step closer to the shed they desperately need.
The day runs from 3pm to 10.30pm.
