Linda's effort helps worthy cause

ESTATE agent Linda Crapper's garden party at her Bolsterstone home raised more than £5,000 for the charity Neurocare despite the rain.

Some 500 people braved the weather to watch a display by police dogs and horse riding while local bands entertained.

And there were plenty of attractions under cover, including stalls selling bric-a-brac stall, books, tools and paintings, for people sheltering from the wet weather. Linda has pledged Saxton Mee will raise 100,000 towards Neurocare's appeal for a scanner for the neurosciences department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
