Lift-off for celebrations
IT was lift-off for thousands of balloons as a South Yorkshire charity celebrated its 21st birthday.
The South Yorkshire Comm-unity Foundation marked its milestone with the simultaneous release of 3,000 balloons from three locations.
In Sheffield, balloons were let off from Barker’s Pool at the same time as a release in Old Mill Lane, Barnsley and Frederick Street in Rotherham.
In the last 12 months, South Yorkshire Community Found-ation has delivered more than 1.9 million to nearly 500 community groups.
