Learn to save lives

YOUNG people in South Yorkshire are being urged to develop life-saving first aid skills with the launch of a new training package by St John Ambulance.

It is designed for seven to 16-year-olds and covers 25 first aid topics, including showing young people how to treat asthma, bites and stings, bleeding, burns, choking, severe allergic reactions, shock, and bone, joint and muscle injuries.

The course has been developed by St John Ambulance to help schools and youth organisations teach the vital skills and also aims to promote personal development.
