Labour choose ballot candidate
A LABOUR councillor has been selected as the party's candidate to stand as Chesterfield MP at the next general election.
Coun Toby Perkins, who represents Rother ward, was one of 26 candidates for the seat but received an overwhelming 76 per cent of the vote.
The married father-of-two lives in Brookside and heads internet sports goods business, Club Rugby.
