But any chaps turning up hoping to catch of flash of something exciting were largely disappointed - nearly everyone who stripped off were men.

Around a dozen people took up the challenge of turning up to the new Store 21 between noon and 1pm on Saturday in just their undies to win a 50 voucher. But all but two of them were lads.

The bare-nearly-all challenge was one being repeated at Store 21s across the country in Wales, Sussex, Kent and Wiltshire.

"It was quite busy and everyone who turned up in just their underwear got a voucher, which they could spend on whatever they wanted," said a spokesperson for the store.
