Help on hand to make city blooming nice

SHEFFIELD will be dotted with flowers next spring thanks to a council scheme to inject some colour into the city.

The council is giving away thousands of daffodil and crocus bulbs to community groups, schools and other organisations who want to brighten up their localities.

The bulbs are available from several collection points in the city and organisations are being urged to make a request for the plants which will be planted in areas like grass banks and near trees where they can be naturalised and reappear year after year.
