Heartless thieves take disabled girl's toys

THIEVES who stole a specially adapted see-saw from a disabled girl's garden have been branded "heartless" by her father.

Nine-year-old Paris Clark's garden on Retford Road, Handsworth, has been targeted twice within three weeks.

First criminals took 10 brightly coloured wooden windmills, which had been stuck into the ground to give the youngster something bright to look at.

Then they returned and took the 400 see-saw.

Paris's disappointed father, Matthew, 39, said it would have taken two people to carry the toy away.

"My daughter is brain damaged, suffers from epilepsy and has bad eyesight, so everything for the garden is specially adapted for her," he said.

"The see-saw is obviously for disabled children so those who took it can't have a conscience. They are just heartless."

He added he couldn't believe they would bother to steal the windmills.

"They wouldn't be worth any monetary value to anyone, but Paris liked looking at them when she was playing."

"Somebody somewhere knows who did this and where the see-saw is, it would be too difficult to hide it.

"And I'm sure someone will have seen them carrying it away.

"This garden is so obviously set up for a young child, so how anyone could want to steal from it is beyond me."

Police are investigating.
