Greg serves up a treat

TENNIS star Greg Rusedski is to open a village hall in Sheffield - before picking up his racket to play with local children.

The 34-year-old, who announced his retirement earlier this year, will visit Bradfield next Friday. He will officially open the new 500,000 village hall at noon and play tennis with youngsters on courts nearby, before opening the village’s annual sports day.

Concluding the day’s events will be a barn dance with the Stompin’ Hooley Band at the village hall from 7.30pm. Tickets cost 2, including a hot beef sandwich, from Lynn Russell of Bradfield Village Fellowship - call 0114 285 1227.
