Girl's earrings ripped off her in the street

A TERRIFIED teenage girl had her gold earrings ripped from her ears during an attack as she walked down a Sheffield street in broad daylight.

The 16-year-old was walking along Mansfield Road in Intake when a boy jumped her from behind - hitting her over the head and causing her to fall to the ground.

He then took the hoop earrings and fled the scene, leaving the girl with minor injuries.

At the time of the robbery, which happened at around 2.45pm on Friday September 28, the attacker was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, a bright blue hooded top, navy Adidas tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Officers are also trying to trace a man who they believe may have witnessed the assault, which happened at the side of The Ball Inn.
