Following the success of the inaugural rock concert at a North Derbyshire railway attraction, the site is doing it again.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra wowed thousands of fans with a stunning show inside the atmospheric Barrow Hill Roundhouse Railway Centre, near Staveley, last year.
And this year the centre is doing it again – twice.
Engine Shed Concerts are presenting Rick Wakemen and The English Rock Ensemble on Friday, September 11, with Sheffield favourite Paul Carrack – formerly of Roxy Music, Squeeze and Mike + The Mechanics – performing at the venue the following night.
And, thanks to Barrow Hill Roundhouse Railway Centre, The Star has a pair of tickets to give away to see Paul Carrack there.
A show spokesman said: “This is an all-standing concert, with everyone within 25 metres of the stage.”
To be in with a chance of winning the pair of tickets, enter our free draw by post, email, or Twitter.
The deadline for entries is noon on Thursday, August 13. Winners will be notified the following week.
To enter, send your name, address and a daytime phone number to Paul Carrack comp, Jon Ball, Sheffield Newspapers, York Street, Sheffield S1 1PU, email firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Wakemancomp’ in the subject line and those details in the message, or follow @jon_ball33 on Twitter and Retweet any of his #StarCompCarrack tweets – usual SNL rules and terms apply.
And do not worry if you are not lucky enough to win – tickets are still available to both shows, priced from £29.50. To buy tickets, visit www.seetickets.com or call 0871 220 0260.
