A Proms Spectacular will go with a bang in the grounds of Chatsworth House next week with an evening of music and fireworks, writes Graham Walker.

The concert, on Friday, August 1, will feature popular classics, movie themes and all the flag-waving favourites associated with The Last Night Of The Proms.
Joining the UK Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of charismatic conductor Jae Alexander, will be star tenor, John Hudson, and soprano, Janet Mooney, performing classical favourites, including Nessun Dorma.
It will also commemorates the centenary of the First World War, with stirring strains of Elgar’s Nimrod, the 1812 Overture and Pomp & Circumstance No 1.
The UK Philharmonic Orchestra performs exclusively in summer, comprised of leading players from orchestras including Manchester’s Halle and the Royal Philharmonic.
Tickets are £27.50 for adults, £18 for children, four to 16, free for three year olds and under. Picnics are also available to order. Gates 7pm, and the band will play from 8pm to 10.45pm
A Party In The Garden event, featuring disco, soul and pop classics performed by a top 10-piece session band, will be held the following night, Saturday, August 2.
