Supergrass star Gaz Coombes heading for Sheffield

And this time Gaz and his band will play Sheffield.

Gaz shot to fame as the frontman of alt-rock trio Supergrass, who enjoyed a string of top-20 hits in the Britpop era of the mid-late Nineties with tracks such as 1995 breakthrough-hit Alright, Going Out, Richard III, Sun Hits the Sky, Moving, Grace and Pumping on Your Stereo.

The 42-year-old, from Oxford, launched a solo career after the demise of Supergrass in 2010, after 17 years and six albums, all of which made the top-20, with debut I Should Coco topping the charts back in 1995.

Gaz released his third solo album, top-20 hit World’s Strongest Man, last month and has now announced an autumn tour which includes a show at Sheffield’s Foundry on Saturday, October 27.
