Folk star Sunjay Brayne is a gig veteran – clocking up more than a hundred last year and dozens more so far in 2014.
And the 20-year-old is showing no sign of letting up as he brings his guitar and gentle vocals to North Derbyshire.
Following the release of his first studio album – following an EP and a live album – Sunjay has headed out on a 40-date tour, which includes a show at Chesterfield Folk Club next week.
The Radio 2 Young Folk Award nominee and Wath Festival young performer award winner said: “I’m thrilled to be hitting the road with the new album. I can’t wait to share it with everybody.”
“There’s no feeling quite like performing live –most performers arelittle show-offs. I love it.”
And Sunjay, who hails from Stourbridge, near Birmingham, is showing no sign of slowing down, with 30 dates already arranged for 2015.
Catch Sunjay Brayne at Chesterfield Folk Club, Chesterfield Library Theatre, New Beetwell Street. on Friday, October 10, from 7.30pm.
Support comes from Sheffield singer Charlie Barker.
Sunjay says: “I always seem to do well around the Derbyshire area. It’s a part of the country that’s good to me.”
