Reunion, Motorpoint Arena

“Everybody Get Up!”

And that’s exactly what Sheffield did as 5ive’s biggest hit blasted out across the Motorpoint Arena on Friday night.

‘Jay who?’ was the question on everybody’s lips as the fab foursome reminded us of just why the 90s were so great, with a healthy bout of retro-rap - complete with ‘gangsta’ hand gestures.

Atomic Kitten were first up and kicked off the reunion show with a bang. The chemistry between these seasoned performers, who are clearly all good pals and looked to be having the time of their lives, was spot on.

There were some disappointments, of course. Bewitched were vocally weak and their dance routines, once enough to get us all Irish jigging to the dance floor, were lacklustre.

Good ol’ Liberty X proved they’d still got it, belting out hit after hit in those famous catsuits and, vocally The Honeyz’s spine tingling harmonies could not be touched - but the surprise hit of the night was 911. We loved them from the moment they backflipped their way onto the stage, with energetic dance routines, wicked songs and even an impressive bit of acapella.

You go boys!
