Carmen Ghia and the Hotrods, a Sheffield seven-piece rockabilly, R&B and swing band, play tonight at the Peak Cavern in Castleton in the Peak District.
The band are fronted by Miss Carmen Ghia – described as “straight outta the 50s and the foxiest dame ever to work a microphone”.

Next Saturday it’s the turn of legendary 1970s tribute act, The Gutterband.

Featuring the characters Alvin Tardis, Joe Widdywaddywaddy, Aladdin Pain, Roy Wouldn’t and Malice Pooper, this band are now in their 26th year. They feature two drummers, the Dr Who Tardis and the ‘Incredible Spinning Man’.

Tracks are from Bowie, T Rex, Slade, Mud, Sweet and more. They promise: “If the 1970s is your poison, then prepare to be cosmically cocooned in a glam bubble!”

Gates open 7pm for gigs and the concert starts 8pm. There is a bar and refreshments available.

Ticket prices are £10 for standing and £12.50 seated. Box office:
