If ever a band had an appropriate name its The Wanted.

If ever a band had an appropriate name its The Wanted.

Thousands of screaming girls made that more than clear when Max, Siva, Jay, Tom and Nathan bounded onto stage at Sheffield City Hall.

The show was focused around the boys being implicated in a jewellery theft and news flashes were projected onto the big screen at the back of the stage.

It was very cheesy but also fairly amusing and a bit different from the usual run of the mill pop concert.

The beauty of the City Hall is just how close bands can get to their adoring public and the fivesome certainly made the most of the chance to interact.

There was plenty of winking, waving, and gestures from the stage but also a little bit of taking the mickey to keep the few males in the crowd on their toes.

The Wanted were put together in 2009 after mass auditions and they are definitely the right formula to get young fans swooning.

It won’t be long until they are playing bigger venues and will no doubt have a string of hits ahead of them.

They played their hits including Comic Relief’s Gold Forever as well as hits from their album and next single Lightning.

But they saved the best for last.

All Time Low might have been their debut single but it is clearly still the favourite among fans.
