FANS of the Reverend Jon McClure were treated to not one, but two shows as the charismatic frontman beckoned the Leadmill crowd into the street at the end of the set.

And gig-goers were delighted as they left the venue to find the Rev and guitarist Joe Carnall being mobbed as they led an acoustic singalong outside.

It made for a great end to a stunning gig as the Sheffield quintet had thrilled their Leadmill flock.

Led from the front by McClure, the band rattled through some classic hits as well as a number of excellent new tunes from forthcoming third album @reverend_makers including the stunning new single The Wrestler.

From start to finish, the sell-out crowd were behind their hometown favourites - singing the first few bars of opener Open Your Window before the Rev had even begun.

And the mutual appreciation continued throughout as McClure urged the sweaty hundreds to bounce along in the heat.

Top-10 hit Heavyweight Champion of the World received the biggest cheer of the night, but the new songs will surely attract more fans - although, to The Leadmill crowd, it was a case of preaching to the converted.
