IN the year that saw him return as drummer in one of the UK’s best-loved bands, the Pulp musician ‘guest mans’ the decks tonight (New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31, 2011) at the Sheffield pub he once co-owned.

There are, of course, other chances to dance, among them a mammoth bash down at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studio staged by many of the city’s coolest club promoters.

The entire Neepsend complex, which has hosted rehearsal and recording by Jarvis and Hawley, Arctic Monkeys and Duane Eddy, opens six rooms to an underground music feast including The Big Swing, Tribe Of Xanadu, Bryan Gee, DJ Youngsta and The Madhatter’s Ball.
