Sheffield’s Mosborough Music Festival is expanding – with a second stage and pre-festival club night.
The final few acts have now been confirmed for the one-day festival on Saturday, June 6, taking the total to 16.
A festival spokesman, said: “The last act announced for Mosborough Music Festival 2015 is James Anthony Lamb – 16 great acts in 10 hours on two stages.”
As well as the Sheffield indie-folk musician, other newly-confirmed acts include Doncaster’s The 48K’s and up-and-coming Sheffield quintet The SSS.
Also confirmed as performing at the festival is Jade Hewitt, from Richmond, Sheffield.
Jade, aged 27, hit the headlines after appearing on hit BBC talent show The Voice, where her singing impressedjudges Ricky Wilson, lead singer of Kaiser Chiefs, and solo star Rita Ora.
They will be joining acts such as ska favourites The Selecter, 1980s stars Doctor & The Medics and former The Seahorses frontman Chris Helme in performing at the festival on the former Westfield School site.
Event organisers have also linked up with Sheffield nightclub and live music venue Plug for a pre-festival show.
A festival spokesman said: “Mosborough Music Festival will be hitting Plug in April with an absolute winner of a night ahead of the festival.
“In an exciting new venture, a partnership has been formed with Plug in Sheffield.
“On, Friday, April 3, we will be hosting the Mosborough Music Festival warm-up gig at Plug, where two bands from this year’s line-up and two bands from the 2016 line up will hit the stage in a epic night of music.”
Already confirmed for the gig areBritpop anthems tribute band Marquis Drive, who are performing at this year’s festival, and seven-piece Nottingham indie-pop band The Gorgeous Chans.
