Have your say

HUNDREDS of One Direction fans have been tweeting to say why they deserve a pair of tickets to the band’s first of two sold out shows at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena. Now YOU pick our winner.

We have short-listed all the amazing entries down to just four and we want you to vote for one to win.

Our winner will get two tickets to see South Yorkshire pop sensation Louis Tomlinson’s homecoming, along with Zayn, Niall, Liam and Harry, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, a week ahead of their second and also sold out show at the venue.

As of Friday morning (March 2, 2012), some hospitality tickets are still available - but limited and likely to sell out soon. For full details call 0114 256 5656 or visit

We had hundreds of fantastic entries to win these tickets using #StarComp1D and it was a difficult job to short-list just four finalists.

If you didn’t win this time, watch out for more One Direction and other competitions, offers, news stories and videos by following The Star’s Digital Editor Graham Walker on Twitter @GW1962.

So, to our four short-listed finalists who now depend on your votes.

Look at their tweets, decide who most deserves to win and vote, using the exact method below. Other votes will not be counted.

The finalist who gets most votes - by Sunday, March 4, 2012, at 12 noon - will win the now money-can’t-buy pair of tickets to see One Direction’s sold out headline debut at the Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

Transport not included. Usual SNL terms and conditions apply.

In keeping with our Twitter theme, to vote you must first be following The Star’s Digital Editor Graham Walker at @GW1962. If you’re not already, do that first. It will help us to ensure it’s one vote per person, to keep the voting fair.

Then EMAIL your vote - only one email per person/Twitter registration allowed - by entering, in the subject box, StarComp1D followed by the Twitter account of the person you want to win.

For example, if @joebloggs was a finalist getting your vote, your in box would be StarComp1D @joebloggs

This will help us to quickly count all the votes. So be precise in filling in the subject box with only this information.

In the email message itself, include your name, address and your own Twitter user name. Then Email it to us at

That’s it. You’re done. Simple.

But we must stress, all votes must be by email only - tweets or other forms of entry will not be counted. And before you email, remember you must first follow @GW1962. This will help to ensure nobody votes more than once and makes the process fair to all our short-listed finalists.

So alert all your family and friends, tell them to vote and don’t miss the deadline of Sunday, March 4, 2012, at 12 noon. We plan to announce our winner shortly after that time on Twitter using #StarComp1D @GW1962.
