Music to kick off campaign

A MINI-festival featuring live music and dancers will take place in Sheffield to kick off a new campaign supported by the city’s anti-fascist movement and religious groups.

The One Sheffield Many Cultures initiative is being launched with events between noon and 4pm on Saturday, April 30, outside City Hall in Barker’s Pool.

Supporters include Sheffield faith leaders, Sheffield City of Sanctuary, Sheffield Faiths Forum, the Islamic Society of Britain, Hope Not Hate, Sheffield BME Network, Who Is Your Neighbour?, Unite Against Fascism and Love Music Hate Racism.

The aim is to persuade people not to vote for far-right groups such as the BNP at local elections on May 5.
